Clamp companies make specialized clamps for gluing edging, or nosing, onto panels, shelves or countertops. But unless you need them pretty often, it’s hard to justify the expense of buying the clamps. The drawing shows how I use a quick-action bar clamp to serve the same function. Simply affix a row of these clamps to the panel edge, and leave enough room between the edge and the clamp bars to drive a small wedge. A few light taps on the wedge forces the glued parts firmly together.
